Acts 20:35
Before departing for Jerusalem on his final missionary journey the Apostle Paul met with the church leaders of Ephesus in the city of Miletus (an ancient seaport of Greece, no longer in existence). He reminds them how he behaved when he was amongst them teaching. He did not take advantage of them by asking for money, but he worked and provided for his own needs; plus he was able to give to the poor. In verse 35 he reminds the church leaders that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
- When is the last time you helped someone in need? Not just by giving money but maybe by helping someone, giving them a ride when needed. Maybe, taking care of someones children; giving them a break. There are many ways to give, a smile, a friendly handshake an encouraging word. Lets do it today! There are incredible blessings when we give to others.
Remember its more blessed to give than to receive
prayer:
Father, help me be a giver. Help me put others first, that I would be consider-et of others. Thank You for giving Jesus, I love you Lord. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
