9-30-09 Psalm 18:20-22

"The Lord has dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me. For I have kept the ways of the Lord; I have not done evil by turning from my God. All his laws are before me; I have not turned away from his decrees."

-- The Lord does reward His children.
May we seek to live before God in righteousness and holiness for it brings incredible blessing to our lives.

In His service,
Philip

9-29-09 2Timothy 2:19

"Nevertheless, God's solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness."

-- It is comforting to to know that He knows me. In the midst of trials and difficult circumstances we must have the confidence that we are on His mind. We are not alone, but we have a heavenly Father who is near to us.

May we take joy in these comforting words.

9-28-09 2Timothy 1:11-12

"Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles. For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day."

-- The apostle Paul was not ashamed of the Gospel. Why? Very simply because he had a personal relationship with Jesus. He knew Jesus personally. He confidently says that he knows the One in whom he has believed.

May we take the time to get to know the Lord so we too could say as Paul did, I know Him.

9-27-09 1Timothy 2:4-6

"Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time."

-- God desires that everyone is saved. He gave His Son for a ransom for all. May we realize that there is no one whom God does not love.

The Love of God

Yesterday, I listened to the testimony of a young Muslim girl who became a Christian. She shared how becoming a Christian put her life in danger with her parents and she had to flee from them. She said that a friend invited her to church and being there she was amazed as the people sang songs to Jesus and worshiped Him. Then the pastor preached and at the end he invited all who wanted to know Jesus to come forward to the altar. The Muslim girl said she wanted to go but was afraid and uncertain of what was going on, but she went anyway and as she was kneeling at the altar the love that she felt was incredible. All she could feel was the pure love of Jesus and how wonderful it was.

It is His love that draws us to Him. We as human beings are so undeserving of His love, but it is His love for us that covers all our sins and failures. His undying love never fails.

Song of Songs 2:4
"He has brought me to his banquet hall, and his banner over me is love."

May we yield to His love and not reject it, He reaches out to you and me today.

9-26-09 Ephesians 3: 13-14

"But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall,"

-- Thank God that through Jesus Christ we are adopted into the family of God. We who are Gentiles God broke down the wall of separation now we can enter into His family.

9-25-09 Psalm 31:1-3

"In You, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be ashamed; in Your righteousness deliver me. Incline Your ear to me, rescue me quickly; be to me a rock of strength, a stronghold to save me. For You are my rock and my fortress; for Your name's sake You will lead me and guide me."

--When we put our trust in the Lord He will not fail us, He will not forsake us.
Because it means His reputation He promises this.

May we trust in the Lord with all our hearts today.

9-24-09 Psalm 8

"O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of you enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him? You made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You made him ruler over the works of your hands; you put everything under his feet: all flocks and herds, and the beasts of the field, the birds of the air, and fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!"

--O Lord, how glorious is your Name in all the earth.
What are men and women that we are on Your mind.

Truly we as human beings are blessed, because we are not alone. God is there and for those of us who know Him He is our Father. -- How awesome.
